Why do you sponsor AIMS Conferences?
Applied Resolution Technologies is a sponsor of the AIMS conference because we interact with many mine surveyors in the course of our business, but very rarely do we get to meet them. We manufacture laser products and normally keep busy with manufacturing, assembling and testing. An opportunity to put faces to names and discuss needs and requirements on a bulk scale is embraced as a great way to get to know the people who use our products, and for them to get to know us.
Being a sponsor at the Annual conference also gives us the opportunity to display new ideas and products, and discuss ideas for whatever we might develop next. Our product development follows not only our ideas, but requirements from the user market. At this year’s conference, we will be displaying a broad range of IECEx Certified laser systems and hopefully a few new ideas that surveyors can ponder on.

This is the first annual conference for us!
What does your company have to offer delegates at this year’s conference?
In the last year or two Applied Resolution Technologies has been replacing other laser products in several mines. We intend to ramp up this activity because we believe that we offer the best products, and the best support. At this year's conference, we will showcase some improved laser alignment and guidance products that simplify some of our long-term systems, and provide improved performance over distance. We will highlight the differences between our up-to-date technologies and the old hat of our competitors, with new green and red laser systems that provide great beam profiles over long distances, without the hefty price tag.
We also hope to demonstrate our mounting and alignment systems, and display some new product ideas for laser mounting based on feedback we have from mine surveyors themselves.
Many mine surveyors have used our products, but perhaps not had the opportunity to see the entirety of our product range in one spot to compare and discuss the benefits and features. As a first time sponsor at the annual conference, we take this opportunity to get valuable feedback towards continuing to develop new systems, and demonstrate products that many mine surveyors may not be aware of.
Short bio on your company
Applied Resolution Technologies (ART) specialises in the development and manufacture of tough laser products for demanding applications. Our business has been running since 1991 with mining products being one sector of the business since about 1994. Our products are well known in the mining sector, but it has only been the last few years that we have interacted directly with end users. Our company has IECEx Certification for many products, but also offers the same products in non-Certified versions for hard-rock mining.
ART also manufactures laser additions to theodolites for fencing and Building/construction use. These systems, especially in fencing, allow a one-man operation rather than having an additional person for sighting and alignment. A recent client photo is attached. The theodolite allows for effective mine site layout with the benefit of a precision theodolite.
