Why do you sponsor AIMS Conferences?
We like to be able to support the industry that supports us. Being able to come together as mine surveyors and hear about industry trends, technology advances, innovation and to share stories is vital and we are proud to be able to contribute to facilitating this.
How long have you sponsored the yearly conferences?
This is our second year in sponsoring the most important component of the conference – the coffee cart!
How has your previous sponsorship benefitted the delegates?
Supplying the delegates with the liquid hydration required after evening activities, helps to benefit their state of mind.
How has your previous sponsorship benefitted your company in spreading the word on your products and services?
We are now known in the industry to have services that benefit mines around Australia – from project management and design to construction and relief.
What does your company have to offer delegates at this year’s conference?
We have 3 registered mine surveyors in NSW to help with projects or relief work, in addition to a highly skilled and diversified surveying team. With 10 offices nationally, we offer comprehensive services across the country in surveying, engineering, environmental and planning.
What is something new and exciting that you will be highlighting at the conference?
We don’t have products to sell, just great service from our National teams.
Short bio of your company
Fyfe is a national consultancy with over 35 years’ experience in surveying, engineering, environment and town planning services across the mining, energy, property and infrastructure sectors.
We have around 250 staff and although headquartered in SA, we currently work with a wide array of clients across the length and breadth of Australia. Not surprisingly, much of that happens in some of the country’s most inhospitable landscapes and climate.
Our projects are amazingly diverse; no two are the same and likewise the solutions. We have learned over the journey that our surveying, engineering, environmental and planning solutions must incorporate a high degree of ingenuity and resourcefulness to accomplish the unique challenges that surround each project.
We are an employee-owned company, and this translates into a company-wide commitment to service delivery and client satisfaction.
Anything else newsworthy?
We have recently employed Mark Scholes (Vulcan expert) as part of our NSW office. He is another skillful surveyor for our business.
We also have CASA approved commercial drones and scanning capabilities for capturing various site data.
